Your support of 88.3 WAFJ is greatly appreciated. As a listener-supported Christian radio ministry, we, quite literally, could not do what we do without you.
When you consider making a gift to support 88.3 WAFJ, the first thing that comes to mind is sending a check or giving online. Both are wonderful and easy ways to be a part of the work God is doing through this ministry. But they are not the only ways you can financially support 88.3 WAFJ.
Here are some additional ways that you can give:
Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) – also known as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) are federally required, for individuals 72 years of age and older, to contribute a percentage of an IRA based on a set calculation determined by the IRS. RMD donations can be made up to the amount of $100,000 in a given year. Donating these funds allows for taxable deductions offsetting income and penalties for the retiree/donor.
Gifts of Stock - Did you know that it is convenient to give a gift of stock through your investment portfolio? Why is this important for you? The simple four-word answer is: avoid capital gains taxes. If you have owned the stock for some time, you can avoid paying the capital gains earned and are still eligible to deduct the full-market value of the asset you donate.
