Description:
Assembly (Boxer) Assisting Burn Box Operators with loading plate groups & setting small parts into Burn Box fixtures for lead strap application. Removing groups from Burn Box after strap is applied, then inspecting & aligning them to insert in battery cases. Marking identification on battery cases & placing them on the conveyor. Inserting plate groups in the correlating cells of the battery case. Supplying the Burn Box station with lead sticks & small parts as needed. Assembly (Burn Box Operator) Maintaining operation of the Burn Box station. Loading plate groups & setting small parts into Burn Box fixtures for lead strap application. Using a torch & a lead stick to fill specified slots with molten lead. Removing groups from Burn Box after strap is applied. Assisting & guiding assigned Boxer as needed. Assembly Line (Assembly Line Worker) Assisting operators on the Assembly Line. Duties could include: Aligning plate groups for the Welder, seating battery covers on cases for Heat Sealer, Applying codes to batteries & off-loading batteries from conveyor onto pallets. Assembly/stacking: Load both positive and negative plates and separators into correct slots of stacking machine, look for non-conforming material, rotate positions from plate loading to separator loading to group off-loading, make adjustment to assure plates and separators continually pickup. Pasting: Monitors the application of the lead oxide paste being pressed into the spaces on the lead grids. Set-up the pasting machine, follow all start-up procedures, make necessary adjustments to the grid feeder and hopper to assure production and quality objectives are met.

Qualifications:
Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacture plant • Ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. • Must be committed to safety and ability to wear all required PPE • Must be able to report to work on time and work overtime • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. • Stand and walk for extended periods of time • Mandatory showering.
